Angola Elasmo ProjektResearch interests: My research focuses on elasmobranchs (sharks and rays) small-scale fisheries in Angola (South West Africa). The methodologies include elasmobranch’s species identification, abundance, composition and biodiversity using DNA barcoding, morphological identification, size composition and sex ratios. This study aims to increase knowledge on sharks and rays in Angola providing baseline information and long-term scientific data to fill the gap on species-specific information, in order to understand the biodiversity of elasmobranchs and the threat of small-scale fisheries to contribute for their protection.
